Ronald J. Celella

D.V.M.

Dr. Ronald Celella is a graduate of the University of Connecticut and received his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Oklahoma State University where he was awarded the prestigious Upjohn Award for Proficiency in Veterinary Clinical Medicine.

He grew up in Woodbury where his family raised horses.  His involvement in both the training and breeding of horses since childhood eventually led to his pursuit of a veterinary career.  His professional interests are in small animal medicine and surgery and include extensive experience in emergency medicine and critical care.  Unable to completely give up horse work, he continues to practice equine dentistry, a field in which he has over twenty years experience.

He currently resides in Bantam, Connecticut with his wife Lorin, a certified veterinary technician, and their two daughters, Paige and Nora.  At home they have extensive gardens as well as beehives, chickens, cats and dogs.
